If you don’t have a rope, make a copy of the Rope Image in color or black and white.

Discuss the rope or image using the questions and comments below. Adjust the dialogue accordingly if only using the image.

Hold up the rope. Who might use a rope like this? A firemen, cowboy or cowgirl, a sailor, farmer, fisherman, a worker, etc.

● A rope can be used for many helpful things, like giving one end to someone who needs to be rescued.

● A rope was used by some men in our Bible story to help a friend. How many men do you think used a rope? Two, three, four, or five? Children respond.
