Contest

Let’s have a contest. Begin inhaling and exhaling deeply. Encourage the children to do the same. Refer to the segment of the show when God created Adam. How did Adam start breathing? 

Read Genesis 2:7:

Then the Lord God ... breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils. 

Every breath we take today is a gift from God!

Time the children, as a group, to see how long they can hold their breath. If each breath we take is a gift from God, how can we use our lives to honor Him and show our gratefulness? 

Tell the children to turn to a partner and discuss different ways to do this. After a couple minutes, ask the pairs to share some of their ideas. By being obedient, only saying kind words, serving and helping others.
