Balloon Game

  • Balloons, approximately twenty, of all colors—must have six blue balloons
  • Optional: masking/painters tape

Blow up and tie the balloons.

Mark or tape a line in the center of the room.

Place three blue balloons and seven other color balloons on each side of the line.

In our video, we watched as Satan’s army was defeated by heaven’s army with Jesus in command! We are going to play a game where teams will battle each other to get rid of Satan’s army from their territory. Both teams have some blue balloons to represent God’s heavenly army, and both teams have other color balloons that represent Satan’s army.

Divide the class into two teams. To start the game, say, “Let the battle begin!” The two teams must stay on their own side of the line. The object of the battle is for the teams to rid their land of Satan’s army—which is every color of balloon but blue—by throwing or batting the balloons to the other side. Each teams’ second objective is to try to keep the blue balloons on their side of the line—these represent heaven’s army. This isn’t as easy as it seems in the heat of the battle; it is easy to accidentally grab and throw a blue balloon to the other side. The battle will last 30 seconds. When the battle ends, count the balloons. A team receives a reward of five points for every blue balloon on their side and loses two points for every other color on their side. Play additional battles as time permits.

The good news is that we already know the outcome of the battle—that is not in doubt!

Read Revelation 17:14:

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings.
