The Take-Home Coloring Page located in Resources can be printed and given to students to color at the end of class if time allows, then to take home.
Print one page for each child, plus extras.
Provide crayons or washable markers for children.
As children color, review today’s lesson using the discussion points below:
● What was the big promise called that God gave Abraham? A covenant.
● Did God’s promise come to pass right away? No, Abraham had to wait one year.
● Why is it often hard to be patient? Children respond.
● Who will help us to be patient? God; the Holy Spirit.
● What does it mean to be patient? To trust and wait without complaining.
OPTIONAL TAKE-HOME TRADING CARD:
Optional: Hand out GizmoGO! trading cards for PATIENCE—THE FAST AND THE GEAR-IOUS, one per child. These are available for purchase under Products. Explain to the children that there is a different trading card for each of the three lessons, so if they come back to Sunday school each week, they can collect all three! (Last time was the ABRAHAM AND SARAH card, and the next time will be the PROFESSOR QUANTUM character card.)
