Object to GO!
If you don’t have a pair of children’s sunglasses, make a copy of the Children’s Sunglasses Image in color or black and white.
If possible, wear the sunglasses or hold the glasses or image up and discuss it using the questions and comments below. Adjust the dialogue accordingly.
● Look perplexed. Why is it so dark in this room? You have sunglasses on.
● Remove the glasses. Oh, thank you, that’s better now!
● Do you normally wear sunglasses inside or outside? Outside.
● Why would you want to wear sunglasses outside? To help you see when the sun is bright, to protect your eyes.
● Raise your hand if you have ever worn sunglasses. Children respond.
● The sun is really bright and we should never stare at it to protect our eyes. In today’s Bible story, someone saw a very, very bright light. Can you guess where the light came from? Children respond.
● Let’s watch our video to find out the answer.
